Wendigu
“You Are What You Eat”
- Era
- Deep winter, provisions exhausted
- Provenance
- The northern pine forests, far from the last settlement
- Medium
- Charcoal-textured print on tan, fog applied generously
- Edition
- Grows with every serving; never satisfied, never sold out
The gaunt figure among the pines is the folklore tradition's most direct nutritional advisory. The creature is said to grow in proportion to its appetite, ensuring it can never be full — a business model several industries have since adopted. The dietary guidance printed here is offered twice, for emphasis.
Name printed 'WENDIGU' — a deviation from the standard 'Wendigo' orthography, original to the print run. Tagline appears twice, top and bottom; believed intentional but noted for the record.
