She's a Kraken
“Stage 5 clinger — deep water only”
- Era
- Nautical folklore, ongoing incident
- Provenance
- Offshore, past the last buoy
- Medium
- Maritime woodcut with tentacle work
- Edition
- Attached edition
The lighthouse was built to warn ships away. The kraken interpreted it as playing hard to get. Marine authorities classify the relationship as 'entangled,' the lighthouse keeper's log classifies it as 'day 400,' and the kraken has not been asked, because nobody wants to make it weird. Weirder.
