Poisoned, shot, and delivered to a frozen river, Grigori Rasputin maintained an attendance record most employees would envy. The portrait celebrates persistence as a personality flaw. His assassins filed no fewer than three completion reports.
Executed in a photographic register that departs from the house woodcut idiom. Held for study while the curators debate whether the Archive's walls can accommodate a second visual dialect.
