Era
Titanomachy, aftermath
Provenance
The Caucasus, a rock with a view
Medium
Ink on cotton, unflinching
Edition

Prometheus gave humanity fire and received, in exchange, a daily visit from an eagle with dietary preferences. The kitchen has taken the liberty of adding onions. The artist declined to look away, and so must you.

Third known variant of the Prometheus plate. Considerably more anatomical than its siblings; held for study while the curators determine which telling of the myth the Archive will stand behind.
